Democratic Party – the party of the Working-Class
1. Protects the working class, the consumer
2. Protects the Fundamental rights of being a woman
3. Protects the most vulnerable in society
4. Protects the environment from the Climate Change Crisis
5. Supports and defends our Democracy
■ The core of the Democratic Party has always been in total support of the working class. They gave us:
- Social Security,
- Medicare and Medicaid and ObamaCare
- Minimum wage laws, unemployment benefits and overtime benefits
- Consumer protection.
- Strong and consistent support for Labor Unions
- A wide assortment of benefits to struggling families w/children
- Pell grants for colleges and extensive college debt relief programs
⇒ Republicans continue to oppose each of these working-class benefits. Instead, they only focus on more tax cuts for the rich and benefits to large corporations.
