The working class desperately need a robust government.
1. Yes, government is an essential element of any civilized society. But government must embrace Democracy and it must be “by the people, for the people”. Government/democracy fails when government is “by the rich, for the rich”. That is what we have now in the new Trump/GOP Administration. The rich now have total control of the Republican Party and our Federal Government. It was a bloodless coup on November 5, 2024. And the takeover progresses with the DOGE group headed by the richest man on planet earth Elon Musk. Their goal is to undermine government into a weak entity easily controlled by the rich.
2. Government is the most powerful entity that benefits the working class, blue collar America and the most vulnerable. They protect our rights/liberties and protect our physical and financial well being. As individuals, we cannot compete with Corporate America or the very rich but government can and must. A robust Government is needed now more than ever as the working class is under massive stress as it struggles to survive while corporate America evolves into HUGE powerful entities with Record profits, record stock price and record executive pay. This contrast is unfair/unjust and immoral.
3. Without a strong government few people or institutions could survive/thrive. Government sets the foundation for any civilized society. The public needs a well funded government that constructs/maintains essential infrastructure. Roads, bridges, public health systems education, justice system, domestic/international security, consumer protection and essential Wall Street regulations are some of the benefits of government that stimulate personal and corporate growth.
4. When Republicans attack government, defund government, when they fire tens of thousands of professional government workers, they are attacking the working-class. The main function of government is to protect the public from a growing number of domestic and international threats and greedy entities that endanger the public’s physically and financially. The working class must now be protected from the tyranny of the GOP created monster called DOGE!
