No other developed nation in the world has such a horrific student loan debt issue like in America. Most countries have either free or heavily subsidized college/trade school for its citizens. America, the most wealthiest nation on planet earth does little to support higher education. Current college debt owed by students in America total over $1.5 Trillion! Clearly there is a stark difference between Republicans and Democrats on this issue.
Democrats/Biden Administration support vast reductions in student loan debt.
Republicans/Trump continue to oppose any efforts to reduce college debt.
Millions of students have substantial debt inhibiting their ability to purchase a home, save for retirement or live without financial stress or the ability to afford having children. Democrats/Biden have offered several unique/aggressive programs to reduce college debt but Republicans using various tactics have stopped or greatly reduced these attempts.
■ Republicans in Congress refuse to negotiate with Democrats with a comprehensive debt reduction plan. They rather talk about more tax cuts for the rich!
■ Republicans at a state level via their Attorneys General have been aggressive in taking every college debt initiative to court in hope of killing off such efforts.
■ The Republican Supreme Court continues to derail all efforts to reduce college debt to students that have been presented to them.
The evidence is overwhelming, Republicans support the rich, Democrats support the working class. It’s time to give Democrats a “governing majority” on November 5, 2024. Vote for ALL Democrats on the ballot! The working-class will benefit immensely.
