Government is an essential institution in any civilized society. But government must be by the people for the people. Currently in America, our government is being overtaken by rich individuals and large corporations. They have complete control over the Republican Party and the GOP have taken control of the House of Representatives, the US Supreme Court and total control over 23 statehouses throughout America.
What has given the rich so much power is the horrific “Citizens United” decision by the Republican US Supreme Court to allow unlimited funding of politicians! This has opened up the doors wide for wealth to control their financial destiny at the peril of the working class, the consumer and the environment. Over ten billion dollars will be spent in our election this year. And when Republicans win, the rich become richer. The proof is overwhelming including the recent 2018 Trump/GOP $2 TRILLION tax cut to the rich.
Democrats do NOT have “governing powers” to make dynamic change to benefit the working class. They must win BIG in November. This is why the working-class must vote in massive numbers to retake our government. “Government for the people by the people”! The working-class must get a bigger piece of the economic pie in America!
Democrats want to terminate the “Citizens United” benefit to the rich.
Republicans want to retain and protect this horrific power play by the rich.
