What is causing food price inflation?

The working class struggles to pay for higher prices especially at the grocery store. Food and Housing are essential core expenditures people must secure to sustain their lives. What is the real reason for higher grocery prices? 1. Climate Change Crisis 2. Deporting 11 million immigrants and 3. Corporate Greed!

1. Climate Change. With drastic changes in weather patterns via the Climate Change Crisis, many grocery store items are seeing sustained increases. Biblical floods, persistent droughts and extreme weather events take a major toll on agriculture. Currently, the bird flu is having a major negative impact on the poultry industry especially egg production. Pandemics/disease/flues are growing in numbers and intensities because of Climate Change. A growing portion of grocery product inflation will be caused by Climate Change. In General Climate Change will raise prices on a wide spectrum of products.

2. The GOP war on Immigrants in America. For the last couple years, many Republican controlled states have been restricting the flow of immigrants into their states thus reducing the supply of agriculture workers. This has a major impact on farm product prices. Now Trump’s outlandish deportation plan on 11 million immigrants will have a devastating effect on the agriculture industry and farm inflation.

3. Corporate Greed. Despite RECORD profits, RECORD stock prices and RECORD executive pay, most business sectors are raising their product prices beyond justification including the Grocery Store industry. They can because there is a growing pattern of near monopolies within every business sector. We have lost competition, lost the availability of independent neighborhood grocery stores. Grocery stores can raise prices because they can with lack of strong competition.

All forms of inflation will continue to affect the working class because Republican policies are feeding it. The immorality of 11 million immigrants being deported will raise prices for the working class like the price of grocery items and housing. Immigrants dominate the labor force in construction and agriculture. Then toss in that the GOP refusal to acknowledge the Climate Change Crisis and their support for big corporation, clearly the GOP agenda is bad for inflation and the working class in America.
